We are a Mask Free
We strive to provide an authentic un-commercialized trail ride experience. During the 2 hour/3.5 mile experience, we will take you through our scenic ranch on winding natural deer-trails. Rides start off grooming your horse to connect with them before hitting the trail. Please bring your sense of adventure, and willingness to take instruction. We welcome ALL LEVELS of riders, and hope you'll become our new friends by the end of the ride.
READ BOOKING POLICIES BELOW BEFORE BOOKING. When booking, if the number of participants you're booking for isn't available, that means WE ARE FULLY BOOKED. If you cannot book the day you selected, WE ARE FULLY BOOKED. DO NOT BOOK FOR ONE GUEST AND SEND ME A MESSAGE LATER THAT YOU'RE BRINGING MORE.
Our ranch is also our private home. It is an exclusive privilege come out here and ride with us. Please treat your time here as such, and respect our peace when rides are not scheduled.
Like no place else!
Let's hit the trail! Ride will begin at the hitching post with hands-on horse brushing. It is so important to have the chance to connect with your horse before you hop on. We advocate taking the time to get to know your horse, which is the ultimate respect you can pay to your mount. I’ll saddle them for you, we ride only western at Blue Moon, and always safely in a saddle with a bridle or hackamore. You'll get a quick tutorial how your horse works, and simple riding tips. We’ll ride into the forested deer pasture, skirt the sides of the large pond, and meander through wooded pastures. Our ride will take us through more beautiful natural wildlife habitat where native White Tail deer, exotic Axis deer, foxes, wild turkeys, and armadillo are usually seen. We’ll head back by the large hay field, and back into the forested pasture. We’ll end up right back at the ranch house, just in time to cool off and give the horses a rest. Experience Texas Hill Country nature and history on a working cattle ranch from (rescued) horseback! Ride is a little over 3 miles total and about 1 hour actual riding time (could go slower/faster depending).
